I had quite a few releasing moments with the heart-related memories. Spontaneous visualizations of situations uncovered heartache and the tracks seemed to help to accept, honor, cherish, and love this heartache. It is lovely to feel alive. ~ Eugene Pustoshkin

The Story of the Development of Anahata from the creator, Eric Thompson
Anahata refers to the heart center, the heart chakra in yoga philosophy. It’s also associated with one of the five sheaths that’s recognized in yoga and Advaita Vedanta, and it’s associated with the mental sheath. So, it’s sort of a very subtle layer of our consciousness where a lot of our attachments and aversions lie. It’s the place where we tend to hold things.
We hear a lot about the idea of opening the heart. I talk a lot about the importance of releasing and letting go, which is really just the pathway of surrender, surrendering to what is. Before that can happen, you’ve got to be able to just open up the heart and get into those places where we’re always holding things.
Anahata’s biofield formulation is specially designed to help us be able to really feel not only all of our conscious feelings, all of our conscious attachments and our conscious aversions, but to actually start to become aware of our unconscious attachments and unconscious aversions; to be able to dive down into the heart and start letting go of those things that we actually are always habitually holding on to. The ego state has been called a self-contraction. It’s like having your fists clenched all the time. It’s a holding on.
We have received reports from people where they have said that they’ve listened to Anahata and find it much easier to really feel all these things, all these sensations, all these secret desires for security, approval, safety, and wanting to get away from certain things that normally they haven’t been aware of. The biofield formulation is designed to help the heart open up.
A lot of times, when I ask somebody to bring to mind a particular situation in their lives that troubles them, some type of pattern or something that they’d been struggling with, generally they’ll have a feeling somewhere in their body, starts in the heart, solar plexus, or down around the navel. What I find is having access to the heart allows us to have access to those deeper places as well. It just opens things up and allows us to dive down more deeply into those things that we’ve been holding on to. So, that was the inspiration for Anahata.
The music that’s in there – there are two songs. The first one is 45 minutes in length and that comes from two artists who created a piece especially for Nada Yoga. Nada Yoga is a type of yoga that connects with a very subtle sound – it’s not audible, but it’s connected to the Anahata chakra because Anahata itself, the word means “unstruck sound”, so it refers to a very subtle, primordial sound that’s always vibrating, but it’s incredibly subtle. It has no physical cause, therefore it’s unstruck. I felt that the music is a perfect blend with the biofield formulation to allow people to connect more deeply.
How to Use
Download the iAwake App
First, download the FREE iAwake App, login with your email and all your tracks will be right there. You can stream them, but we’d advise downloading them (from within the app) to ensure an interruption-free experience, and to be able to listen offline.
Play Anahata at a comfortable volume through loudspeakers in the background: Your whole environment will be infused with the subtle energetic frequencies of profound relaxation.
Listen to Anahata with headphones: Listening to Anahata with headphones as a meditation will penetrate deeply into your experience of stress, leaving a sense of relief that will last long into the day.
Play Anahata silently WITH NO VOLUME: You might find yourself in a situation when you’d like to enjoy the peaceful emanations of Anahata, but it’s inappropriate to be wearing ear buds or listening to music. No problem! Place Anahata on “repeat” on your MP3 player, then turn the volume down to zero and don’t worry about using your ear buds at all. Due to the powerful biofield (subtle energetic) entrainment technology contained in Anahata, it will emanate a deeply relaxing energy field even at zero volume! Some people are more able to consciously detect this energy field than others, but your body and biofield will still register and benefit from it nonetheless.

A warm, gentle embrace. That may sound embellished, but it is not. It comes on subtly, but creates a very soothing comfort and sense of equanimity. That is only speaking to the energetic effects, though. The music is bliss. I don’t know where you found it, but (as is the case with WorldSpirit), these tracks are great simply as ambient/downtempo music for the soul. ~ Jason Magnum
I am really really enjoying this Anahata…I don’t feel as anxious or scared or worried as before. But it does not mean that I am numb. It is just different. I am like more vulnerable but at the same time more close to me and that gives a sense of safety. It is like I am experiencing really that everything is within. But at the same time in and out are one in me. ~ Nadia
